Sites:
Ice samples were collected (a) from Viedma glacier cave at exposed and
remote locations, and (b) from the glacier border that forms an open cave.

Samples:
ice samples of up to 700 years old were collected from 7 locations of
Svarthamar Ice Cave for microbiological analyses, 14 ice samples for 14C
dating, and 432 ice samples for isotope analyes.
