SHORT HISTORY The journal Revue de Biologie (67 years old) appears under the aegis of the Romanian Academy. Initially, in the pages of the journal, were published both zoology and botany. Since 1964 it appears under the name Revue Roumaine de Biologie - Série de Zoologie, and from 1975 it was published under the name Revue Roumaine de Biologie - Série de Biologie Animale. In 2000, the Section of Biological Sciences of the Academy approved the merger of the Editorial boards of the Revue Roumaine de Biologie, Série de Biologie Animale and Studii și Cercetãri de Biologie, Seria Animalã (Studies and Research of Biology, Animal Series), under the coordination of Academician Petru-Mihai Bãnãrescu. In 2006, the Presidium of the Romanian Academy approved the modification of the title of the journal Revue Roumaine de Biologie, Série de Biologie Animale into Romanian Journal of Biology-Zoology (starting with volume 51) and brought up-to-date the Editorial Board (Editor-in-Chief Academician Marian-Traian Gomoiu). Since 2021 is the present-day Editorial Board.
